A new module of Automated AQM, APC Performance Desktop provides a unique and comprehensive web-based view of application performance, for the first time bridging the gap between mainframe and web application performance analysis.

Traditional performance analysis tools focus on only one application instance or execution at a time, and rarely provide visibility beyond the mainframe. APC Performance Desktop now helps mainframe performance analysts identify overall tuning potential by root-cause analysis of the load on the mainframe and isolation of the responsible caller instances.

It does this by integrating TriTune's mainframe performance metrics with metrics from a measurement tool for the distributed world, such as CA Wily Introscope. This unique view enables the analysis of load invoked on the mainframe by distributed applications running in front of the mainframe - previously a black box to mainframe performance specialists.

  • Identifying Java programs invoking top mainframe consumers
  • Aggregating enterprise-wide metrics
  • Degrading batch and online trends
  • Viewing historical trends and variations
  • Pinpointing enterprise-wide resource consumers
  • Eliminating root-cause performance inefficiencies
